Seniored profile from the solar industry joins GreenGo Energy
To support our strategic growth in Europe, GreenGo Energy is strengthening the leadership with a new Vice President Business Development Europe and Managing Director of GreenGo Energy Germany, coming from the global leading solar technology company, First Solar.
Stefan Degener, 58, joins GreenGo Energy’s management from September 1st as Vice President Business Development Europe, and Managing Director of GreenGo Energy Germany. He will be responsible for building and expanding GreenGo Energy's 360° Development Service Platform in Europe, as well as heading up activities in GreenGo Energy Germany.
Stefan leaves a position as Managing Director First Solar GmbH/VP EMEA Region, where he has been heading the company's activities for the last 11 years, focusing on regional leadership in Europe. Stefan has been involved in the full solar value chain including technology sales, development, M&A and project finance. Before entering into Renewables, Stefan was active in commercial banking, project finance and financial markets for almost 20 years.
According to GreenGo Energy’s CEO Karsten Nielsen, Stefan Degener, with his broad Solar PV Market and Project Development experience from the renewables space, is a natural fit:
