HOFOR and GreenGo Energy start construction of new solar park

HOFOR (Greater Copenhagen Utility) and GreenGo Energy starts construction of 29MWp solar park in Denmark

GreenGo Energy is pleased to announce the start of construction of the Project M12, a 29MWp solar park in Fjerritslev Denmark, which will have an annual production of 37.5 GWh corresponding to green electricity for +9,000 Danish households. The project will be grid connected through 2022, and fully operational mid 2023.

Project M12 was acquired from GreenGo Energy by HOFOR in 2021, and HOFOR has now taken Final Investment Decision (FID) after successful completion of development. An EPC contract has been signed with Chintec, and GreenGo will be EPC Manager throughout the construction process to commercial operation (COD) under an EPC Management agreement.

Maintaining and improving biodiversity

Both HOFOR and GreenGo Energy emphasize that the nature and biodiversity of the project area is preserved and further improved. There will be green, natural planting around the solar park and space will be made for wildflowers to grow in the area so that biodiversity is naturally strengthened.
